They transferred me twice to account sharing
- Found tobacco in the bottom of the duffel bag.
- They recently stopped smoking.
- They plan to return and exchange tomorrow and want to speak to staff.
I want to speak to someone who actually works for them. I purchased a duffel bag, got it home, and there's tobacco in the bottom of it.
I have recently stopped smoking. I always thought you couldn't return products there, but clearly someone did.
I am appalled and disgusted. I cannot go back out today; however, I'm planning on returning it tomorrow, and I want to exchange it for another.
- Seasonal selection
- Mostly good products and a very reasonable price
- I always spend more than i anticipate
Preferred solution: An exchange
User's recommendation: Look inside the duffel bags and or any purse etc
Hi there. I was recently in Dollarama...
- I was asked to use self-checkout; a staffer offered to scan my items; I will avoid this store and go to the Leamington location with no self-checkout.
Hi there. I was recently in Dollarama at 250 Erie Street South in Leamington Ontario N8H 3C2.
I was asked to use the self checkout and I never do!! This is not my job nor do I receive any benefit from it. No discounts---no free bags---nothing. When I said no I'll go to the checkout I don't use the self checkout the gentleman said well I'll scan them for you.
If that's the case why have self scanners---why not just have someone at the checkout?
I know the head management would love to eliminate the checkout and just have self checkout. To increase profits and this is a benefit of the uppers to put more money in their pockets while the little people work harder!!
I have seen shoplifting in Walmart because of self scanners and it just causes just more issues!!
Now there's a certain age group that likes that people contact and why take that away from them!!
It's call Customer Service!! I'm just one customer but will try and avoid this store and go to the other Dollarama in Leamington that does not have ANY self checkouts!!
Management tried to rip off customer
- Jefferson: no packaging or price shown for 5 ft extension cord.
- Manager quoted $4.75 for a 5 ft cord.
- Customer won't return to Jefferson.
I went to dallorrama on Jefferson Ave Winnipeg. I asked about an extension cords, 5 feet, how much as no packaging or price.
Staff asked manager, he said $4.75 same as 10 feet. I knew that was wrong. The next day went to dallorrama in Northgate, the 5 ft extension cords is $2.50.
The manager at Jefferson location is lazy and crooked. I will never trust nor go to that location again.
User's recommendation: Skip this location if you can, or beware of unmarked items!
Moon lamp is cheap, poorly made, and has many bugs
- Box claims color-changing, but lamp only shows red.
- Lamp has a single on/off button.
- No refunds; packaging looks official, and reviews say the same.
I bought a moon lamp that says on the box that it will change to many different colors but when I turned it on it had ONE button, and it was to turn it on and off. The only color that was displayed was red.
There were no refunds, so I was stuck with a CHEAP, BUGGY, TEMU QUALITY LAMP.
Do not be fooled by the official looking packaging. All the reviews are saying the same thing.
User's recommendation: If you find this lamp don’t buy it
Overpriced
I went to a dollar store in Brantford, Ontario, and they have coconut water priced four for a dollar, but they were charging me $1.50 each.
User's recommendation: I already left the store. She did supervisor removed the price that was displayed there. I already leave the store, but I will post this and all the social media that I am on about this particular Dollarama in Brantford Ontario.
Poor customer service at the location on sadalwood and Mississauga road
- Customer was treated rudely by a young associate and front staff, felt rushed and targeted, and left without purchasing; requests staff training.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store located at Sandalwood and Mississauga Road. I have been a regular customer at this location, but the customer service I received during a quick visit for school supplies and garbage bags was completely unacceptable and left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.
As I was picking up a few last-minute items shortly before closing time, one of your young employees began yelling at me, stating loudly that the store was closed.
I calmly responded that I understood and was just picking up a few items before heading to the checkout. Despite this, she continued to follow me in a rude and aggressive manner, repeatedly telling me to hurry up, even though there were still other customers in the store and the doors were closed.
Her tone and behavior were unprofessional and made me feel as though I was being targeted and rushed unfairly. I remained respectful throughout the encounter, reassuring her that I would quickly finish and proceed to payment. Unfortunately, her behavior did not improve, and the negative attitude seemed to extend to the rest of the staff at the front, including the cashiers.
Their demeanor was equally unwelcoming, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for not just myself but other customers as well. In fact, some fellow shoppers supported me and openly criticized the young associates behavior.
I was ultimately told to leave the store, and I chose not to make my purchase due to the poor treatment I received.
This is deeply disappointing, especially as this is my local store and I have always preferred shopping here.
My sincere request to the store manager and the management team is to address this matter by providing the staffespecially the young associate involvedwith proper training on customer service, respect, and professional communication. Customers should feel welcomed and valued, not harassed or made to feel like an inconvenience.
I hope you will take this complaint seriously and implement corrective measures to ensure better treatment of customers
User's recommendation: I would never shop again at this location
Complaint
- Scott Street store, St. Catharines, July 29 at 11am: cashier yelled at a customer.
- She grabbed and swiped gift card, swung Moneris, and mocked me.
Went into the store on Scott street in st Catharines, July 29th at approximately 11am. Suddenly I hear over the intercom someone shouting for a customer who asked to use the restroom for her young child.
When going over to the checkout the cashier with the shoulder length gray hair yelled at the customer what are you doing?! You asked to use the washroom and we are sitting here waiting for you!!! When I say yellI mean yelling. I proceeded over to the register with my husband she scanned our items and my husband presented her with a gift card where she yelled at my husband turn it around!!
I cant see what it is!! The card would not swipe she then grab it out of my husbands hands, swiped it and threw card back on cash counter and swung moneris machine at him and aggressively told him to enter his pin.
I then told her that she should not be working in customer service where she started mocking me and said oh yeah why dont you go outside and tell all the customers how bad I am
I am calling for this woman to be terminated..she is unprofessional, rude and should not be working in customer service.
I have never ever encountered such a horrific cashier, I work in customer service retail myself and this is absolutely unacceptable behaviour and can only imagine what her co o workers endure. She Is dangerous!!

No one gets a discount or free bag from self checkouts. If you cannot afford what you bought put some things back. If you cannot afford to pay for a bag crry the things out.
“If that’s the case… why not have someone there”? Because very few throw a tantrum like you did. You were probably one of the only people the manager stopped his work for.
